7 inch skinner DAMASCUS BLADE knife blank, 3.5 inch blade. This is a great Damascus knife! Made from 1095 and WS1 steels. There are 260 layers. Damascus adds a very unique and sought after looks in knife making. With it comes some extra maintenance, it needs to be kept clean and oiled, or it will rust. A little WD40 one a month, depending on use, wipe on and wipe off is all you need to do. The holes in the blade are pilot holes, and they will need to be drilled for the correct size pins. We send 1/8 inch pins with our kits. The kit includes the blade, the wood scale indicated (2 pieces of wood, the correct size for the blade handle), the correct size and number of pins (brass or nickel), and detailed step by step instructions. This is a simple project that can be a starter knife for beginners. You will need something to cut the handle material (scales), a drill for the rivets (Pins), a clamp or two, and sandpaper.
