Bat Masterson lived quite an intriguing life during the times on the American Wild West days. He was well known as buffalo hunter, U.S. Marshall, Army scout, fisherman, gambler, and frontier lawman and even a sports editor and columnist for the New York Morning Telegraph. His popularity with a cane grew from using one on the television series "Bat Masterson".
